Fresh produce category innovation

Ahold/Albert Heijn is taking category and product innovation seriously. An earlier innovation project addressed the category of fresh fish and seafood, and now it was the turn of the fresh fruit and vegetables category to be placed under the magnifying glass. In conjunction with various suppliers this category was placed in a new perspective with the aid of the SIT methodology.

Feedback from participants: “A clear-cut structure, quickly productive and rewarding. An excellent incentive to plumb to the very depths of the subject matter. The facilitator conducted the proceedings well and taught us to think ‘differently’.”

Project manager’s feedback: “The methodology is exacting and it was difficult to go with the flow. I am, however, very pleased that the facilitators persevered, because it has worked. These two days have provided me with insights about the category that are completely new to me, even with all my years of experience in this sector.”
