Supplier-led innovation for key clientsSensus markets inuline (an ingredient which can be used to replace certain fats and fibres). Sales are buoyant, the business model of recent years having achieved good results, but not yet positive enough. Sensus intended to give its Sensus inuline a boost in the market. One of the main points on the agenda was to introduce a more thorough approach to the market/buyers. A brainstorming session was organised in order to kickstart that thinking process. The project in question specifically targeted a renowned ice-cream manufacturer, a vendor of A-brands. The aim of the brainstorm session was to surprise the buyer (the ice-cream manufacturer) with new ice-cream concepts for the end consumer.
Participants’ feedback: This is much better than ‘brainstorming’ (lots of ideas but few of them achievable). Fun to do, with serious results. Very well prepared session with a clearly experienced facilitator. The methodology was interesting and effective. It works both in the depth and the breadth of such a multifunctional group.
Project leader’s feedback: Surprising results. By developing ideas through to an illustration an extra dimension was created. Very inspiring for a broad group of participants who clearly enjoyed themselves.
